Vintage 20th Century Italian Juparana Colombo stone box. Mounted with a brass hinge and lined internally with polished black stone, the piece highlights the distinctive flowing pattern of Juparana Colombo.
Juparana Colombo is a decorative granite. Though the stone originates from quarries in Brazil, it became widely used by Italian workshops during the 20th century for small objects and interior features. Harder than marble and onyx, it takes a high polish and offers excellent durability, while each cut reveals a unique combination of movement and colour.
