Antique 20th Century Art Deco desk magnifyer, formed with a circular convex glass lens set within a polished metal frame. The lens is raised on a fixed cylindrical stand, clad in shagreen and designed with an open section to allow documents or objects to be positioned beneath the glass. The combination of polished metal and shagreen give the piece a distinctly luxurious Art Deco character, while the sculptural form makes it equally appealing as a decorative desk object.
