Antique 19th Century Victorian three-bottle tantalus features brass detailing and a locking mechanism stamped with "BETJEMANN'S PATENT 43014, LONDON." A small silver plaque adorns the base. Each decanter is handcrafted from ribbed cut ‘striker’ glass with a solid silver collar and original ribbed stopper. Hallmarked English (925 Standard), London, year 1897 (b), though the maker's mark has been rubbed.Betjemann's Patent refers to innovations by 19th-century English inventor George Betjemann, particularly known for his work on Tantalus sets.
