Reference Number: D11754

An Italian modular wall unit in warm-toned hardwood, attributed to Franco Albini and dating to the late 1950s. The system comprises seven shelves, two two-door cabinets, a drop-front cocktail cabinet, and a bank of five drawers, all designed to be arranged in any configuration. Finished with leather handles and adjustable brass feet and tops.

Italian modular systems of the 1950s achieved a precise equilibrium between engineering logic and domestic warmth, this example sits firmly within that language. Interiors of mid century, Milanese modern or contemporary minimalist tone take this exceptionally well because the system behaves as furniture and architecture simultaneously.
