Sergio Bustamante Lion's Head Plaque

This majestic, brass Lion's head, wall plaque was made by Sergio Bustamante, in the mid seventies. A beautiful study of a lion's head in Bustamantes distinctive style.

 In 1975, Mexican born, Sergio Bustamante, drew away from painting and sculpting in paper mache and focused his talent on the creation of sculptures using bronze, wood, brass and copper, many of these new sculptures depicted animals. This lion's head is a striking example of this period.
