This mulberry coloured leather Gentleman's Dressing Case, was made by London silversmiths,Leuchars and Sons. As each, quality, piece has a monogram that is under a crown, it is likely this case was made for a european Prince.From silver boxes, inkwell and writing equipment, jars with silver lids, to Ivory backed brushes and implements to aid dressing in the late Victorian age, each has a place in the rich purple velvet interior. Each Piece of silver is marked with WL for William Leuchars and a date of 1881 to 1882.
